What to Compare Before Buying
The coat is described for light rain, light snow and sleet. Water-repellent treatment is not the same as a stated waterproof rating. If waterproof protection is important, check the garment’s stated rating and whether it suits the conditions you have in mind.
Compare the child’s measurements with the size information for the selected coat. The age range alone does not establish the right fit.
Compatibility, Size and Fit
Check that the chosen size matches the intended wearer. The elastic cuffs and detachable hood are design details; check that the hood configuration and fit meet your preferences before selecting a version.
Care, Cleaning and Storage
Machine washing is indicated, with a laundry bag recommended. Do not use bleach. If tumble drying is needed, use a low heat setting.
Before You Decide
Check the size against the child’s measurements, confirm that the detachable hood is the configuration you want, and consider whether water-repellent treatment meets your needs.
