Quick Summary
YakTrax Run traction cleats are a pair of running shoe overshoes in Large size, made for running on snow and ice. The design combines carbide-steel spikes and stainless-steel coils, with a rubber foot frame and straps to hold the cleat in place over running shoes.
The reflective heel and side straps add visibility in low light, and the Large size is one of several size options listed. Check shoe fit and size carefully before choosing an offer, especially if you need a size other than Large.

What to Compare Before Buying

- Traction style: The design uses carbide-steel spikes and stainless-steel coils. Compare that construction with the type of winter running surface you expect to meet.
- Fit method: The rubber frame and straps secure the cleat over the shoe. Check that this type of over-shoe fit suits the footwear you plan to use.
Safe Use and Important Precautions
The cleats are stated as tested safe for breakage in temperatures as low as -41 degrees F. For use on snow and ice, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and make sure the size and fit are correct before heading out.
Before You Decide
Confirm that you need the Large version, that the pack contains 1 pair, and that the over-shoe fit works with your running shoes. If the shoe size or traction style does not match your needs, choose a different size before ordering.
