What to Compare Before Buying
- Phone size: This pouch is made for phones up to 7.5 inches, so check the dimensions of your handset and any case fitted to it.
- Water protection: IPX8 is the stated protection level, which is important if the pouch will be used in wet conditions.
- Floating design: The built-in airbags are part of the buoyant design, so this is the key feature to compare if sinking protection matters to you.
- Carrying method: The dual lanyard gives a neck or body carry option, so check whether that suits how you want to use it.
- Screen use: Underwater touch control is not supported, so compare whether you need visible storage only or active underwater operation.
Compatibility, Size and Fit
This pouch is intended for mobile phones up to 7.5 inches. The fit note specifically mentions large phones with a case on, so the main check is whether your phone and case combination stays within that size limit.
The pouch is also described as suitable for side-button use and for Face ID after the phone is inserted and air is pressed out. If those functions matter to you, confirm that your phone fits securely before use.
What Else You May Need
If you want to use the pouch with a phone already fitted with a case, check that the combined size still fits within the 7.5-inch limit. A dry paper card is mentioned for insertion and removal to help prevent sticking.
How It Works
The pouch seals the phone inside a waterproof enclosure with a larger viewing window. Built-in airbags provide buoyancy, while the dual lanyard gives a carry option around the neck or on the body. Underwater touch use is not supported, so the phone’s buttons are used instead.
Safe Use and Important Precautions
Underwater touch control is not supported because of water pressure. Fingerprint unlocking is also not supported. The case should be tested with fabric before use, and the phone and pouch should be wiped before and after use to help keep them dry. Internal fogging caused by temperature change is described as normal.
Before You Decide
Confirm that your phone and case fit within the 7.5-inch size limit. Check that you are happy with the need to use buttons rather than underwater touch control. If buoyancy matters, make sure the floating design is the feature you want.
